Over the last couple weeks things couldn’t be better with the exception of Joe and Amy Jo but that's for another time. Kate and I are the tag team champions and I'm TV champ as well. Kate's been by my side though everything that's happen in my life. I almost lost her twice to my foolish pride. I’m not going to make that mistake again. I want to spend the rest of my life with Kate and there's only one thing to do well two things I guess. As nervous as I am and yes I admit that I pick up the phone and call Kate's mom and dad . After a few moments Kate's mom picks up the phone.
Katherine's mom: Hello?
I smile as I go to speak.
Trent: Hi Mrs Brock. This is Trent. Um is Mr Brock there by any chance? I need to speak to him.
She pauses for a moment then speaks again.
Katherine's mom: Yeah Trent he's right here . Hold on just a moment.
After a few moments Kate's dad gets on the phone.
Katherine's Dad: Hi Trent . How's it going?
I answer her dad's question and am finding it hard to speak to him.
Trent: Good Sir. Um is there anyway we could talk sometime like today? Uh … I need to talk about some things.
After taking a big gulp I’m waiting what feels like hours but its only moments before he speaks again.
Katherine's Dad: Sure Trent. How about in an hour here at the house? I got some things I need to do first.
I smile thinking at least he'll meet with me then I speak once again.
Trent: Uh.. ok sounds good sir. See you then.
As I'm driving over to her mom and Dad's house a million things is going though my head as what could happen with ask for her hand in marriage. Though I'm as big as I am I'm still scared of her dad. I think most guys are scared of their girl's dad's. Anyway I drive other there and knock on the door. Her mom opens the door and lets me in. After a while her dad comes in and its just the two of us. He's the first to speak.
Katherine's Dad: Now what was it you wanted to talk to me about son?
With another big gulp I start talking and giving my speech.
Trent:Sir I know Kate and I have had our ups and downs due to my own foolish pride but I love your Daughter very much. I'm sure you got a good reason why I’m here but here it goes. I’m asking for your daughter’s hand in marriage. I can promise you this Sir. She'll never have to work for anything and I won't hurt her ever. She's the only one for me. As much as I want you to say yes and I know she a adult and can make her own decisions but I feel its only right that I ask you . If you say no I understand and won't even give it another thought.
After what again feels like hours her dad speaks again with the answer that I hope is yes.
Katherine's Dad: Well She's my little girl and I’m always going to think no one is good enough for her as I think most dad's do but you've been very good to Kate and we've know you for a long time and I could not think of anyone better for her. So I my answer is yes. Now you know even though I said it was ok its all up to Kate .
Relief floods over me and I almost hug her dad but instead shake his hand and speak.
Trent: Yes Sir I know it up to her . Thank you so much Sir. You have no idea how much better I feel now. Well I hope she says yes. Thank you .
After I walk out the door of her mom and dad's house I'm happy as can be . While I’m over one hurdle I got another big one to come and I'm praying she says yes.
Scene fades.
Scene opens to the home of Trent Brown and Katherine Brock. The camera shows a empty Bird cage and we find Trent Brown standing by it with a smirks before speaking.
Trent: Maxine Maxine Do you ever take time to listen to what people say? If you were listing I was saying I had no reason to have to attack wolf behind his back cause of my size and I had no fear of him because of my size. At least Raven . So I’m just blowing hot air out ? I must be doing something right cause I happen to be a double champion right now. What are you? That's right nothing. A little bitter are we? Come on Maxine Your better then this. You can't deny facts and the fact is this. I'm one half of the tag team champs and your not and its eating away at you. You can't stand it seeing the gold with Kate and I. It seem your also a little sore you don't have anyone in your life like I do Kate. We all want someone deep down inside. No one wants to be lonely. As for not being able to f up a bird that's not true. Denying it its freedom is a way of messing it up. That's whats going on with Raven. He should fly solo but you won't let him cause you need him to stay where you are in this business. I mean look what happened to everyone you've been associated with. He's your last hope.
Trent smirks cause he knows he's on to something. While Maxine has been hard to get he's starting to understand her. She's like the rest of the people here who play dress up and act is if its Halloween every day. They are the delusional believers in a fantasy world. A world where they have powers and speak in riddles. After a while Trent speaks again
Trent: Play the all powerful one all you want dear but anyone with a brain can see your just a messed up in the head as the poor people you screwed up. Raven I don't care for you or like you but I can see what this women is doing to you. She's using you for her own gain. She's not your friend . She only cares for herself. Don't wind up being used like the rest of them she's destroyed. I know you've been lonely all your life and want to have a friend but this not the person . You both are lose souls in this word. Its nothing to be ashamed about. Lots of people are lost with no sense of belonging. You say I am a God fearing man your right I am. I have a moral compass . You also should know I’m called the dark knight for a reason. I may try to walk the straight and narrow but I don't . I have a darkness inside me due to the blood of my Birth father. Joe has already let that blood take over him but I'm not about to let me. I have the blood of a crime lord in me. The mafia if you well. While I'm not proud of that I won't lie about it.
Trent smirks Once again thinking of the darker side of him. The side that has made him the force that he is in IWS. That side has allowed him to become a double champion. If he would just either learn how to use that dark side for his own gain or just give into it that battle would stop. No matter Trent's winning the war slowly. After a few moments Trent talks again.
Trent: You see folks if I let myself destroy everything in my path. I'm force all my own. Its the battle of good and evil for me . One part of me says go ahead . Destroy everything in your path and don't blink a eye. The other says think what your doing. Its not worth hurting anyone. So if you think you two are crazy think again. I may be a more civil composed person then the two of you but that don't mean anything. Come Sunday you'll see that dark side of me as will the rest of the word. That dark side I fight hard to keep away . I'm learning how to master it . The sooner I do master it the more dangerous I will be to everyone I face. I will unleash that dark side of me This Sunday God forgive me for what I'm going to do. I won't care what pain I infect on either of you . I'll do whatever I have to to get those tag team titles around Kate and I's waists . Its time I show you and the whole world just how dark I really can be. Be careful what you wish for cause this is not going to be pretty. Whatever I do Sunday I can't be held responsible. Once I let this darkness inside me lose God have mercy on you cause I sure won't.
Trent smirks for the last time before the scene fades to black.
