It took little effort to know many things are happening within the walls, or better phrased, it's employees. Between sides that have been chosen, to lines that have been crossed something was about to happen, about to change but having no key made this hard to predict. Without the Rosetta Stone of people's actions it almost seemed like chaos and uncertainty. Even his feud seemed small in comparison to the grand scheme. Dresden had a bigger plan, something past a simple claim of a title. Just like he had plans of his own something was going on in the background, just out of view of the public eye and hidden in the shadows. What held that mans interest, just like his own had it's part and places. It was just acquire the tools that were needed. While he held the Barbarian Championship Dresden was a part of him as much as he was him holding the TV Championship.
Sitting back in his chair at his old wooden desk that seemed like it was a picture of the past as he maintained it to look like the original, he was lost in thought. Turning his chair to look out the wide paned window that overlooked the city some the moon just coming up and the stars starting to reappear as the sun no longer stole their stage, it was then he heard footsteps behind him and such noises were starting to be common now with their owner. "This really has you stuck in your thoughts. Your no Ibis and need a little help." It was almost routine how she would show up now, after the encounter at the hospital she knew when to find him alone and in thought, promising everything.
Jackal did not even bother to turn around to face the female mirror of himself. Imagining that mask just smirking at him knowing his plight and having all he needed to know right there ready to take but it held it's prices. "You know I don't make deals with the crossroads anymore." A shuffling of papers reached his ears pulling his interest but against his cravings he stuck to his judgment to ignore her as she moved closer standing at the edge of his desk.
"That one time couldn't have been all bad for you." The tinge in the voice almost sounding hurt as she lay the folder down a soft toss scattered the bulk of papers inside. "No deal this time. I can give you the answer though, but to what I can not say." Turning slow he faced her and looked down to this gift of sorts, maybe a peace offering, though it never seemed to be in her blood.
Even with his mask the frustration was read on his brow as he looked over the papers. Runes, and signs, to pages on links. To anyone else they would think it's simply rambling of a mad man> Again though things always seemed erratic, and unlinked but least he knew these words and symbols. "Not many have used the stars in such a wide array like this. Along with our histories and bios of IWS. What are you playing at with this?" Shifting through a few of the files able to match himself and others to charts and symbols but without knowing what for it was simply just the answer without reason.
Lifting from his gaze over the pages, having spread them out against the desk, cutting her off before she even has to speak. "No need to say it. I wont accept it, Just speaking aloud to myself." It was almost like bait, a game of cat and mouse where she had the advantage. Almost a blessing to have his stubbornness to figure things out on his own as he skimmed through more and more of the files finding connections but no reason for them. Was this what Dresden was doing in his spare time, no not just him. All of IWS had parts to play and deals to be made. Some center around a woman he knew had a lot of pull as Maxine Hunter. Some with branch off into other sects of power like Mufasa, Ali, and Electra.
She smiled watching over him as she leaned to sit some against the desk leaning against the old wood as she watched him fumble over findings that had no reason to be an answer. "Always so stubborn with these things but I can wait." Humming lightly an old tune from the sands of their home as he worked wondering how long she could give him hints and clues till he finally accepted to be himself once again, the one that held so much power before he simply relinquished it.
Hours seemed to pass the time line etched out in how the size of the mess grew. Papers spread further and further away from the desk to see the whole picture at one glance. The guardian simply lay back in his chair no light from his eyes to reflect showed that they were closed. The subtle rise and fall of his breath had him asleep from the work. She moved closer to him taking a few strands of his long hair and running her fingers against them. "Fallen so far" His hand moved brushing her own away from him as he opened his eyes looking to her being near and letting out a long breath.
Sitting up he rest his chin on his knuckles as his fingers laced together. "I'm going to need a lot more then I have now to start all of this. Tell me." His voice steady but angry at himself for having to do this, having to return to once was. It seemed needed though, to help push him further. She only grinned some moving closer to him.
"You really mean this? You can claim it anyway you wish but don't hate yourself for becoming what you rightfully are." Not much was said after that as he was still in thought, many possibilities to turn this to his favor but then they locked lips sealing a deal with a kiss. Like old stories of ancient deals as she gave what he needed to know and the strength to fight once again.
