Act I: The Battle Speech.
A large uncontrolled blaze shoots up from a pile of wood in the center of the dark cave, lighting it just barely and warming its occupants just enough. A shadow is cast as a figure walks across the space between the camera and the fire. The figure suddenly stops in front of the fire and turns toward the camera with both arms behind his lower back and his chest blown out.
It's Ali!
The henchmen are quick to drop what they are doing and move to the space in front of their master. Ten or more henchmen gather as the great one stares them down. Once everyone is still, he speaks with his hoarse, loud voice.
"At Cupid's Wars, your master, the Great Ali, charges into yet another war between the sacred ropes of a wrestling ring. This time, with that ever annoying nuisance, James King."
The henchmen grunt and clinch their fists. The fact that their master Ali hates him is enough for them to hate him just as much.
"James King has been made into a fool by my loyal princess Electra. He has been made into a tool by Indian Greatness. And now, he seeks revenge on the mind behind it all, the mind of greatness, The Great Ali."
Ali's chapped lips turn into a smirk under the white turban over his bald head.
"James, you will not face the Great Ali in a wrestling match of any sort of ordinary. You are facing the Great Ali in a scaffold match. We will end our differences several feet in the air, and with the fall of one of us, so will be the end of our battles."
Turning his right foot, Ali begins pacing back and forth. His henchmen's eyes stay on their master, always.
"Many people want you to push Ali off of that scaffold at Cupid's War, so that Ali's illustrious and dominate career is over. Many other people want Ali to push you off of that scaffold at Cupid's War, to shut you up once and for all. Ali is here tonight to ensure you that James King will be the man that falls that night."
The fire seems to intensify behind the Great Ali as he continues his speech. The shadows seem to move. A few small pieces of the cave drop from the roof to the floor, bringing up small dust clouds.
"So, James. Will you accept defeat like a man or will you accept defeat like a fool? A man would bow down before his superior and kiss his royal feet. A fool would fight back and seek to "overcome the odds." The Great Ali strongly suggests that you get on your knees and bow before the great one before he takes your pathetic body and throws it off the scaffold, because if you attempt to fight back, the Great Ali will punish you in ways you didn't think possible!"
The Great Ali stops and walks over to the farthest right henchmen. He takes that henchman's kendo stick and waves it around as he returns to the center stage of the shadowy foreground.
"The choice is yours. Either way, the Great Ali will rule all at Cupid's War."
Fade to black.
